In 1999 Raffi Kodzhajan at his WEB-site proposed new project of armenian flag. Raffi offered make a flag less similar to others tricolours and also more remembered. He proposed to add on the flag 2 thin white stripes dividing three wide stripes. The white colour could symbolize snow top of Ararat.
